Sympathy
The sympathy of all our congregation must be extended to Michael Jenkins and his extended family following Jakki's recent death.
It is well known that she has been confined to a wheel chair since she suffered a stroke some 17 years ago and more recently had to cope with increasing health problems which she and Michael dealt with, with their customary fortitude.
A large number attended her reception at St John's on Thursday 10th January and many more were present at the Requiem Mass on Friday 11th. at which the celbrant was Fr Tim Irvine assisted by Dean Leslie Forrest and Fr Rupert Moreton.
The size of these congregations indicates the esteem in which Jakki was held and the support which there is for Micael and his family at this time.
